张根发教授是具有国际影响力的著名遗传学家、优秀的教育和科研工作者,565net必赢博士生导师,任多届中国遗传学会理事,任第11、12届中国植物学会理事,担任许多国内外重要学术杂志的编委和审稿人。活跃在相关的遗传学教学科研,植物分子遗传学,植物抗逆分子生物学研究领域。
自1990年毕业获得博士学位以来,作为博士后和高级访问学者先后访问过英国、以色列和美国开展合作研究。在多年的科研实践中,承担和完成30多项国家科研项目,包括国家自然科学基金面上项目、重点重大项目,国家973、863、948项目,以及北京市自然科学项目等。已在国际著名杂志,如Plant Cell, New Phytologist, Plant Physiology,  FEBS Letters,国内核心期刊以上学术杂志发表论文150多篇,出版专著和教材等著作16部,特别是《好好芭资源生物学》一书受到国家科学出版基金资助出版,具有很高的原创性;在国内外有重要的影响力。多年的科学研究成果丰富,也有多项成果获得国家各种奖项,包括获得省级科技进步二等奖2项,教育部科技进步奖1项。张教授不仅科研工作优异,成果丰硕;在教育教学研究中也取的许多重要成就,特别值得一提的是2007年主持的遗传学双语教学课程被评为首次国家双语教学示范课程;教学项目研究成果获得2008年565net必赢教育成果一等奖。从事高等教育工作几十年来,作为博士生导师已培养博硕士研究生60多名。


主要研究内容


多年来从事植物抗逆分子遗传、植物基因资源、蛋白质组学、基因表达调控、基因功能的挖掘与评价等研究工作。特别是抗旱、耐盐相关基因及其启动子的克隆、鉴定和功能及其可能的应用;
模式植物拟南芥的抗逆机理的功能基因组学、蛋白质组学和抗逆基因表达调控的分子遗传机理;研究植物生长,逆境响应中的表观遗传、以及蛋白翻译后修饰的调控作用和分子机理。
